Growing up in a military family, Dr. Tatyania Moorehead traveled the world before settling in Charlotte, NC. Even as a little girl, Dr. Moorehead knew she wanted to be a dentist. As she got older she realized the impact dentistry can have on the rest of the body and that is when it was set in stone… she was going to be a dentist!
Dr. Moorehead attended Norfolk State University where she obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics. While at Norfolk State University, Dr. Moorehead had the opportunity to become a member of the Epsilon Theta Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. Since moving to the area, she is an active and financial member of the Charlotte Alumni Chapter. She enjoys participating in the various public service activities that the organization is affiliated with.
After graduation, Dr. Moorehead went on to The University of North Carolina School of Dentistry for her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree. While at UNC, Dr. Moorehead loved being active in the Student National Dental Association and participating in community outreach programs, both locally and internationally. She not only had the opportunity to serve the Chapel Hill and Durham, NC communities during her tenure, but she also had the opportunity to travel to Malawi, Africa, and provide dental treatment. While in dental school Drs. Moorehead and Brazile met and began serving the community together. They both had such a passion for serving they decided to bring that passion back to Charlotte, NC.
After dental school, Dr. Moorehead went on to the Mountain Area Health Education Center, in Asheville, NC where she received her General Practice Residency Certificate. While in residency, Dr. Moorehead was able to acquire a unique skill set of managing and treating immunocompromised and trauma patients at the hospital while also providing care to cosmetically driven patients at the MAHEC Dental Clinic. Since finishing residency, Dr. Moorehead has been practicing in the Charlotte/Greater Charlotte area growing within all aspects of general dentistry.
Dr. Moorehead’s passion is serving her patients. She enjoys having the opportunity to address patients' needs, whether that be getting someone out of pain, a cosmetic concern, or helping someone stay healthy.
Born and raised in Charlotte, NC, Dr. Briana Brazile grew up celebrating both her North Carolinian and Panamanian roots. She graduated from the University of Virginia where she ran track and field and studied Spanish to continue learning about afro-latina heritage.
Following graduation, she attended Barry University where she obtained her Master’s Degree in Biomedical Sciences. There, Dr. Brazile truly fell in love with dentistry and the multidisciplinary aspects that it has to offer. She pursued her passion and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Dentistry. During her time in Chapel Hill, Dr. Brazile was heavily involved with community outreach. At UNC School of Dentistry, Dr. Brazile met Dr. Moorehead where they realized so many of their core values and passions aligned.
After graduation, Dr. Brazile worked in a number of dental practices getting extensive experience in all aspects of general dentistry: fillings, crowns, bridges, partials, dentures, orthodontics, oral surgery, endodontics, cosmetic dentistry, and sleep dentistry. She completed a Comprehensive Implant Residency Program in Bessemer, Alabama where she gained experience in placing and restoring dental implants as well as IV sedation.
